President Dan Barney joined Foodbuy as President in July, 2006, and his leadership has been key to Foodbuy’s strategic growth. He’s spearheaded the development of governance protocols and strategic alliances that position Foodbuy to bring savings to our members while offering unique growth opportunities for our supplier partners.
Prior to joining Foodbuy, Dan worked successfully for 24 years in sales, sales management and strategic projects for Coca-Cola North America, rising to the position of Vice President for National Accounts, where he routinely worked with foodservice professionals. In 2002, Dan was instrumental in the formation of Coca-Cola Bottler Sales & Services, LLC, where he and his colleagues built this new division of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. into a cutting edge e-commerce and procurement organization for 75 franchised bottlers in North America. As Vice President for Customer Business Solutions (CBS), Dan led the development and deployment of e-commerce solutions for the country’s leading national retailers and foodservice operators, taking costs out of processes and providing daily, actionable reporting. Dan was promoted to President of Coca-Cola Bottler Sales and Services, LLC.
An Atlanta native and resident, Dan graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He and his wife, Greer, have two adult sons.
