How long have you been a member of Foodbuy?

Navigator joined Foodbuy in 2010.

What is your favorite part about your company?

Probably the fact that we act as a full-service GPO in a market that has often been under-supported and overlooked. There are a lot of pressures with staffing and costs in the senior care market, and while many have shied away from the challenge, we look at it as an opportunity to provide unique solutions and value to our Members. We have a full team of account managers who have these interactions every day—to understand our Member’s problems on a much deeper level and lend a hand as trusted advisors. Our members appreciate that service and connection.

How has your membership with Foodbuy helped your business?

Foodbuy is a critical partner for us for a number of reasons, including utilizing the vast number of contracts that provide value and variety in our market segment. We partner together to provide culinary training and consulting to the front line operations staff to enhance their impact directly to the resident and we leverage the technology platforms that Foodbuy brings to the market. A great example is our recent launch of Navigator eProcurement. Foodbuy helped us deploy the platform, demo it for our Members, and has been there every step of the way. There are only a few true partners we have as a company, and Foodbuy understands and supports us in a very unique way.

What is your favorite Foodbuy Member benefit? Why?

There are a few that come to mind. The quality of the programs as a whole is one. The volume and expertise you have is vital in offering peace of mind for us and for our members. There are things that I would normally have to constantly worry about like ‘are these contracts competitive?’ or ‘are we keeping an eye on the quality assurance?’ Foodbuy vets it all and the due diligence is ongoing. That is a huge help to us. Another benefit Foodbuy offers to Navigator is the support we receive from the top down. It’s reassuring to know that Foodbuy has our back in all that we do.

What would you say to others thinking about partnering with Foodbuy?

I’d say you’re not going to find a partner that offers a more comprehensive solution. Foodbuy partners with us in so many ways beyond the typical GPO, and it allows us to focus on what we do best and to deliver outstanding service to our Members.
