The History of Foodbuy
Beginning in 1999, we’ve created world-class procurement systems for thousands of Members and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
1999
Began as a .com coupon site for the food service industry.
2000
Strategic alliance with Morrison Healthcare; Compass Group acquires Morrison.
2001
Compass purchases majority interest in Foodbuy; Foodbuy, LLC was created.
2007
Compass Group purchases the remaining shares from venture capital group.
2016
Foodbuy expands portfolio with acquisition of S. Sherman Associates, specializing in luxury hospitality consultation.
2018
Foodbuy acquires Spendifference, specializing in chain restaurant consulting.
2019
Foodbuy launches Foodbuy Foodservice and ClubProcure to encompass recently acquired Client Rewards and VGM Club businesses.
2021
Foodbuy acquires National Produce Consultants (NPC, LLC), a leader in the produce procurement industry. NPC Foodbuy is born.
2022
Foodbuy launches Foodbuy Hospitality brand developed uniquely for hospitality operators.
